South Side Works - Building C1A
Building C1A of the South Side Works development is a three-story, 186,000 square-foot mixed use building with multiple retail tenants on the first floor and commercial office space dedicated to the second and third floors. Part of the Urban Redevelopment Authority’s 34-acre project focused on reclamation of the Pittsburgh Waterfront, the result combines the illusion of small buildings incorporating the historic neighborhood’s rich architectural vocabulary with the flexibility of a generous 63,000 square-foot continuous floor plate. JSA provided design and construction services while working with members of the South Side Community, Pittsburgh City Planning and the Urban Redevelopment Authority to create a building that will soon become an important economic and cultural part of the South Side of Pittsburgh, PA.
